Astrid Vargas School
I'd #makechange by donating the money to my school's athletic department, to form the speedy swimming Rams!

Before heading off to college, Astrid Vargas wants to leave a special opportunity behind for others at Port Chester High School.

"I want upcoming students to have the opportunity that I didn't have. I began to swim when I was five years old. And I feel that if I had kept practicing, a college would have recruited me. However, my school doesn't have a swim team."

Her passionate plan is to #makechange by dedicating her summer to building a brand new swim program that's ready to compete by next season.

"Participating in a swim team builds character, endurance and responsibility. When you support good athletes, you will get great students. It benefits the community as a whole!"

Astrid graduates this Spring with a 4.0 GPA, multiple honors and plans to attend Union College in the Fall.
